In case you hadn't seen... here's the band-aid to make sure you stick to your armor.

Our current priority list is abominable. It's psychotic whack-a-mole with no perceivable advantage to hitting any one button versus any other except for smacking LB or CL whenever whatever addon you are using says you've hit 5 stacks of MW. -Rouncer

If you can't get itemization right, patch it up!

If they are really gonna do that, they should seriously consider going back to the Sunwell "trade in" system for gear. Sure it was an administrative nightmare, but it did solve a lot of itemization problems without over-inflating loot tables.

Because cloth wearers have so much choice...

It's cloth or naked.  >:D

(I get the point and it's nice that they didn't forget the clothies, but really...)
Another turning point, a fork stuck in the road
Time grabs you by the wrist, directs you where to go

I did kind of like that system since stuff like healer plate is annoying to see dropping more than once or twice.

Well, it's pretty much impossible to "get itemization right", when you have so many different caster classes/specs.  You'd have to make sure that all of them need a different stat, which just sounds gimmicky.
